Our party comprised three people, one of us dependent on a mobility scooter, so planning our trip through Albania required extra care and consideration. We wanted a journey through Albania starting and finishing in Tirana, staying in Berat, Vlore and Gjirokastra, while visiting landmarks, archaeological sites and other highlights along the way.
From the beginning, Albania Travel made the planning process easy and removed any apprehension we had about travelling in a completely new country. Every detail was carefully tailored to our needs, and through their local partner Wander Albania, everything from accommodation to transport was organised seamlessly.
What stood out most was Ermal, who became much more than a driver. His knowledge of Albania’s history, culture and people greatly enriched our experience, and his thoughtful adjustments to our itinerary gave us more time to enjoy the places we loved most. More importantly, Ermal played a huge part in both our enjoyment and our sense of safety throughout the trip. Travelling with a mobility scooter presented challenges at times, but he constantly went above and beyond to make things easier and ensure everyone could enjoy the experience.
Our trip exceeded expectations and was one of the best travel experiences we have had in decades of travelling. We would confidently recommend Albania Travel to anyone planning a visit to Albania.

Our holiday in Albania was fantastic. I just wish we could have spent more time there. The most impressive part of planning the trip was the care and attention put into the creating of our itinerary by the Albania Travel team at the planning stage.
Our every wish was catered for, and our Albanian driver/guide could not have been more helpful in meeting our requests on a daily basis. A truly professional and dedicated team in Australia and Albania, working together for the benefit of their

We absolutely loved Albania — such a breathtaking country with warm, welcoming people and incredible scenery.
Our trips with Ylli were informative, safe and well-paced, with great coffee breaks to break up the journeys. He was always prompt and organised, and the day trips were long but rewarding. We especially loved the Albanica Winery — a stunning location with amazing food and wine, probably the best we experienced in our five weeks away. Berat Castle was another highlight, with beautiful accommodation and plenty of time to explore.
The Blue Eye was incredible, Gjirokaster fascinating, and the boat trip from Himare to secluded beaches and caves was fantastic — we even saw dolphins!
We were very happy with Wander Albania. The tour suited our slower pace, and we never felt rushed. Albania is still developing its tourism, but the people are so proud, friendly and eager to share their culture.

We recently returned from an unforgettable eight(8) day tailored tour through Albania. This was a second trip to Albania and in the last eight(8) years and since our last visit, the Country has grown up considerably. Albania is no doubt one best-kept secrets in Europe, and it’s cheap. The tour covered north, south, east and west and was a perfect blend of history, culture and offering a deep dive into Albania’s heritage and stunning mountain landscapes. It’s hard to pick the best destination, as all destinations were beautiful in their own ways.
Our tour guide, Ladi was very knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly passionate about his country. He made history come alive with his stories of the Countries past and the present.
Albania exceeded our expectations this time. It’s affordable, not crowded and packed with beauty. If you’re looking for an affordable holiday, Albania should be at the top of your list.
Design and planning wise, the trip was lovely — the itinerary was great, and I enjoyed almost all of the towns, cities, and castles we visited. All of the hotels were very good, especially the castle stay in Berat.
Albania is a fascinating country with a colourful history and beautiful scenery. Tirana is a must, Shkoder is lively and fun, and the mountain visit was beautiful. I’d love to visit again and explore more of the less touristy towns and cities.
All of the Albania Travel folks we met were lovely, and I really can’t say enough how kind and helpful Ermal was. He went above and beyond when a friend fell ill — arranging treatment at a private German hospital and private transport so we could rejoin the group.
The care and support were first class.
I would definitely recommend Albania Travel and Ermal’s team. Just avoid the peak season in mid-August — it’s hot, crowded, and the traffic can be heavy. Earlier or later in the year would be perfect.”
